Hotel Location
Guest Reviews & Ratings
The hotel offers a comfy stay with clean rooms and friendly staff, but there are some areas that could use improvement. The location is central, but there were some shabby aspects to be aware of. Dining options seemed a bit pricey, and the room facilities may need some modernization.
The hotel is in a convenient location in downtown Calgary, perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms, while showing signs of age and having a musty odor, are adequate for a shorter tourist stay. The service was friendly and accommodating, even providing a fan when needed, but some inconveniences led to a room change. The dining options were average and required several refills, and I found the additional $17 for breakfast a bit steep. The facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay.
The hotel had some mixed aspects during my stay. While the proximity to local attractions and the friendly staff were highlights, the dining experience was lacking. The pool area was enjoyable, but some room servicing issues were disappointing.
Upon arrival, my family had trouble reaching me at first due to issues with the phone system, which caused concern and confusion. The room was very cold with old windows and doors letting in drafts from everywhere, worsened by a broken toilet. However, after a long flight, the room was eventually clean and somewhat comfortable.
My stay at the Ramada Plaza was a mixed experience. The room, while spacious and with a comfy bed, was a bit dated and not as clean as I would have liked. On the upside, the location was fantastic, allowing easy access to downtown and various attractions. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, with a disappointing buffet. Despite these drawbacks, the value for money was reasonable overall.
I found the hotel to have mixed feelings. The rooms, while of a good size, were noisy due to pipe issues, which disrupted my sleep multiple times with clanging noises. The location was convenient for exploring bars and restaurants, but the building itself felt a bit run down and in need of refurbishment. The service was friendly overall, yet I had some disappointments, especially during breakfast and late-night check-in. The dining options were satisfactory but not exceptional.
The hotel offers great access to all downtown offices and amenities, with a convenient location and valet parking option. However, the rooms can be chilly even after adjusting the temperature with the thermometer and being close to the elevators on the top floors.
The hotel had comfortable rooms, somewhat updated and clean, but a bit outdated for the price. The service was a mix of friendly and rude encounters, causing some confusion. The location was good, near Downtown Calgary but not too close to noisy spots. The dining options were satisfactory, with available dining within the hotel. Overall, the hotel offers a decent stay with some room for improvement.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the positive side, the top-floor room offered a quiet environment with a pleasant view from the balcony. However, the room cleanliness was an issue, and the noise from the temperamental infrastructure was disturbing at night.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. I found the location great, near many restaurants and shops downtown, but it was a bit farther than I expected. The rooms, unfortunately, were uncomfortably cold, and being next to the elevators on the top floors didn't help. The service provided by the friendly staff members, however, was efficient and thorough, especially on weekends. The dining experience was pretty good and reasonably priced, but the lack of continental breakfast was a downside. Overall, the value for money was decent considering the amenities offered.
